Amazon Delivers

I love coming home to find little smiley faced cardboard boxes on my doorstep! Today's deliveries included:

The Game of Thrones Season One on Blueray.  This one was pre-ordered right after Christmas with some Christmas gift money!

And a new Eye-Fi Card. I can't live without this thing and my old one has finally become just a memory card. The wireless connection no longer functions so I am so happy to have this new one!

Tumblr

Having fun with this little website to keep a longer record of my twitter tweets.  You can subscribe to it in a reader just like a blog.  This is pretty geeky but see if you can follow my reasoning.

I use Twitter to record funny little blips that the kids say or we do.  Things that really aren't blog worthy.  Well, Twitter doesn't keep that stuff indefinitely but I can use Tumblr to automatically import them and keep a record of them.  Also now use Jott even more since  I can verbally Jott to Twitter and it will do voice to text transcription.  Not always very accurately, sometimes humorously (Josh had one today that turned "conduit" to "cock duet").  And all of this is supposed to make my life easier?  HA!

Wii are Doing Our Part to Stimulate the Economy!

So, I finally convinced Josh to buy a Wii today.  "What" you say?  I had to convince Josh to buy something.  He's been holding back on us but Greg and Angie brought theirs over last night and Boone and Josh had so much fun!  There are no Wii Fits to be found online or in the stores around here for now but that will be my next purchase.  Well, maybe after another wii-mote.

Added Twitter updates to the sidebar because my life is sooo fascinating that I know you can't wait a week for a blog post.  Actually, you'll probably wait two weeks for a tweet as I keep forgetting about it!  Warning...I usually tweet from my iPhone so grammar and spelling are usually a mess and evidenced by the "rickets" tweet.

Do you Know What This Is? (#2)

I've been waiting a few days to post because I realized it this post would be my 100th post and thought that I'd better make it poignant.  Well, forget all expectations of a brilliant oratory (especially since I am writing and not speaking) and get a load of THIS!

It was on my desk when I got home from work on Friday and it really is one of the coolest things ever!  Macs of all kinds are the greatest kind of technology (except for maybe these kind of problems) and this little beauty does not disappoint.  It feels so great in my hand and it does everything.  I do have a fabulous husband most of the time.  I'd like to think I am not so shallow as to have gifts be one of my top "love languages" but apparently I am that shallow because I LOVE presents!

One Happy Girl!

Just testing out the...

Just testing out the Blogger with you on Jott.com. listen

Powered by Jott

ETA: "With you" was actually supposed to be "widget" so I probably wouldn't use this function unless it was critical that something got blogged immediately and I really can't ever imagine that happening to me :)

Mama's Little Helpers

Just found this cool new website, www.jott.com, that allows you to call yourself (its toll free number) from your cell phone and leave a message.  It will transcribe this message and email it to you or put an appt on your google calendar or even a blogger or typepad post.  I'll have to try out the blogger widget in a bit but I have to laugh at the voicemail I tested out today.

It does admit to only being fairly confident in the transcription but it should actually say "suckers". The "sacks" part is correct though. It was accurate enough for me to recall what I meant though. The calendar function worked great for those of you that use Google Calendar. I use it because I can access it at home and work which is helpful since I don't carry a palm pilot anymore. I can also use separate labels for Josh and the boys and then share them with Josh so we all know what is going on. Then I use Spanning Sync to sync my google calendar to iCal because I like using it a little better on my mac. Spanning sync works really well also.

Do You Know What This Is?

Nope, my children didn't turn in to conjoined twins.  It is a picture from Photo Booth and you Mac users know what that means.  Its official, I've gone Mac.  You know what they say, once you've gone Mac...  And this Mac is a 20" Dual Core blah blah blah iMac.  So very, very sexy...so sexy that Josh had to take the hutch off of my desk so that it would fit.  Some major rearranging going on around here.

Some major talking too!   Boone had all the sudden become an adult, very grown up conversations and Brody... well, he finally has some words.  Up, help, bro-bro (which means both Brody and Brother)  He is really coming along.

Looking forward to some major girl time with by best girlfriends in Portland this weekend for Jess's baby shower!  Yeah!
